Nick Trageser

Nicholas Trageser was named an Associate Attorney at the Preller Law Firm in 2025 after serving as a law clerk with the firm since 2022. He focuses his practice on complex criminal defense and civil litigation matters, representing clients across a wide range of legal issues.

Nick earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he served as both a student attorney and worked as a law clerk. As a student attorney in the Innocence Project Clinic, he advocated on behalf of wrongfully convicted individuals seeking post-conviction relief. During law school, he gained extensive experience working on criminal and civil matters involving felony offenses, traffic violations, DUI charges, motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and discrimination claims.

Before attending law school, Nick graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Pre-Law. While at Dayton, he was a member of the university’s hockey team and helped establish Student Advocates, an organization dedicated to assisting students as they navigated the University’s disciplinary process. He also worked as a legal researcher for LexisNexis and completed a judicial internship, during which he observed more than 200 hours of courtroom proceedings.

Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, Nick maintains strong ties to the Baltimore area, where both of his parents were raised. He is licensed to practice law in Maryland and plans to expand his licensure to additional jurisdictions. He is also a commissioned Notary Public in Baltimore City. Outside the office, Nick enjoys spending time with family, playing hockey, running, and supporting the Baltimore Orioles.
