Samantha Pearl is an associate attorney with more than nine (9) years of experience representing individuals in complex civil litigation. Her practice focuses on employment law, civil rights, personal injury, medical malpractice, consumer protection, and art and entertainment law, as well as select criminal defense and traffic matters. Samantha is passionate about advocating for individuals facing discrimination, injustice, and unequal access to opportunities, with particular interests in mental health, disability rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and international human rights.
Samantha earned her Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where she received a Certificate from the Comparative and International Law Institute. During law school, she served as a Staff Editor of the Catholic University Law Review and held numerous leadership positions, including Founding President of the Gender & Sexuality Law Forum, Vice Justice of Phi Alpha Delta, and Captain of the Mock Trial Team.
Prior to law school, Samantha earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Law and Philosophy) from West Liberty University and an Associate of Arts in Psychology from West Virginia Northern Community College. While attending WVNCC, she became a member of Phi Theta Kappa and earned First Place at the International Phi Theta Kappa Extemporaneous Speech Competition in Orlando, Florida. She is also a proud alumna of the state-champion Wheeling Park High School Speech and Debate Team.
In addition to her legal practice, Samantha serves as a coach for Phi Alpha Delta’s Cardozo Chapter Mock Trial Team, mentoring future attorneys in trial advocacy and litigation strategy. She also serves as Vice President of Institutional Advancement for the Wheeling Academy of Law and Science (WALS) Foundation and as Public Relations Chair of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Bar Association of Baltimore City.
Originally from Wheeling, West Virginia, Samantha is a first-generation college graduate and the proud granddaughter of a coal miner.
She is admitted to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Samantha maintains offices in both Baltimore, Maryland, and Wheeling, West Virginia, through her work with Preller Law Firm and Cassidy Law, PLLC, allowing her to serve clients throughout Maryland, the District of Columbia, West Virginia, and Ohio.
